Warranty

Service terms & conditions.

(1) Product Coverage:
Our product range includes Egrowatt PV Inverters, Storage Inverters, Smart Energy Management Devices, Monitoring Software, EV Chargers, Portable Power Stations, as well as Egrowatt Batteries and Accessories.

(2) Geographical Coverage:
Our warranty is valid across all countries and regions, including the special administrative regions of Hong Kong and Macao, as well as Taiwan. However, it does not apply to mainland China. Please note that the warranty is only applicable if the country of purchase, installation, and after-sales service are the same.

(3) Warranty Claims:
To file a warranty claim, the product’s serial number (S/N) is generally required. It’s important to keep your original purchase invoice, installation documents, or receipts in a safe place, as these may be requested during the warranty claim process.

(4) Warranty Duration:
The standard warranty period begins either on the installation date as noted on the installation certificate, or no later than six months from the delivery date—whichever comes first. Warranty extensions can be requested, but only within two years of the product’s installation date.

(3) Installation and Commissioning:
Growatt does not provide installation services or on-site troubleshooting for monitoring devices. However, on-site commissioning services are available for large-scale projects with an inverter capacity exceeding 500kW.

  1. We provide remote technical support 24/7, 365 days a year.
  2. For telephone inquiries, we aim to respond within one hour. For email inquiries, a response will be provided within two hours.
  3. Devices returned for repairs will be fixed and shipped back within three business days after receipt.

On-site Service Response
If on-site service is included in the contract, Growatt will adhere to the response time and conditions as outlined in the agreement.

Spare Parts Replacement Program

  1. Based on sales data, Growatt maintains an adequate inventory of spare parts at our spare parts centers, ensuring swift responses to replacement needs.
  2. With a safety stock of spare parts, we typically dispatch replacements within two business days.
  3. After the expiration of the standard 5-year warranty (or extended warranty), Growatt will continue to provide spare parts at a price not exceeding the original contracted amount, allowing customers to purchase necessary components at a fair price to maintain product performance.
  4. If production of a product or accessory is to be discontinued, Growatt will formally notify the original buyer at least six months in advance.

Additional Important Information

(1) Warranty Claim Process
Customers can reach Egrowatt through various channels including phone, email, or instant messaging apps. To file a warranty claim, customers must follow Egrowatt’s instructions and complete a Warranty Claim Form. This form can either be sent via email or submitted online through Egrowatt’s Online Service System. The following information is required for warranty claims:

  1. Product Model and Serial Number
  2. System configuration details (number of panels per string, number of strings, whether the system is wired in parallel or series, grid type, grid voltage, and frequency ratings)
  3. Fault description (error messages or codes displayed, along with relevant pictures or additional fault details)

Note: Egrowatt reserves the right to reject warranty claims if the required information is not provided. In such cases, the customer is responsible for any resulting losses or consequences.

(2) Warranty Exclusions
Standard warranty service is available only for products with valid warranties. The warranty does not cover damages resulting from:

  • Opening or tampering with the product without Egrowatt’s authorization
  • Damage incurred during transportation
  • Incorrect installation or commissioning (e.g., improper wiring of DC or AC poles, loose connections leading to inverter damage)
  • Failure to follow the user manual, installation guide, or maintenance requirements
  • Unauthorized modifications or attempted repairs
  • Incorrect usage or improper operation
  • Poor ventilation of the device
  • Non-compliance with safety regulations
  • Acts of nature or force majeure (such as lightning, overvoltage, storms, or fires)

For products that are no longer under warranty, Egrowatt will charge for services, including the cost of spare parts and labor. Alternatively, services may be provided as per the terms of any existing maintenance contract.

(3) Warranty Limitations
The above terms and conditions, along with the warranty card provided in the product packaging and any attached warranty documents, represent the full extent of Egrowatt’s responsibility for the products sold. Any implied or explicit guarantees beyond these terms are not covered unless confirmed in writing. During the warranty period, Egrowatt’s obligations are limited to product repair or replacement as outlined in the warranty conditions. Additional responsibilities are not assumed unless legally required.

(4) OEM Products
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) products are not covered under these warranty terms. The warranty for OEM products will follow the specific terms stated in the corresponding contract.
